What We Believe

We believe in the Triune God. We believe he is one God yet three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father – God himself who created the heavens and the earth, man, and all living beings. The Son – Jesus, God’s Son our Savior, who lived a perfect life on earth, died, and rose again for the salvation of all people. We believe all who trust Jesus as their Savior will be with him in heaven. The Holy Spirit – The third person of the Trinity who comforts us, leads us with God’s Word, brings us to faith, and points us to our Savior, Jesus.

We believe that we all sin. We all make mistakes and fail to love God and love our neighbor as He intended. We know God demands perfection and that He demands payment for our sins. But most importantly, we know God, in his love, gives us grace and forgives all of our sins. He has shown us this grace by sending his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the ultimate price – giving His life for us. So with grateful hearts, we live to serve God and our neighbors.

“The Bible is lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.” Psalm 119:105. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God and is foundation of all the teaching in our church. We believe the Bible is the source of truth that guides and leads us in all aspects of our lives to love God with all our heart, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. The Bible shares God’s good news in His Son Jesus Christ who lived, died, and rose again for the salvation of us all.

The gift of God’s Grace in Baptism is available to everyone who seeks it – infants to 99+  We are all sinful and in need of God’s forgiveness. God invites us into his family through baptism, forgives our sin, and makes us his children through the washing of the water and sharing of the God’s Word “baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19.

Communion (or the Lord’s Supper) is God’s Special meal of Grace. In communion we receive bread and wine, but more importantly, we receive the body and blood of our Savior “poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” Matthew 26:28. All are invited to come to the table with a humble and repentant heart, believing that Christ your Savior is present in the meal for your benefit and gives you forgiveness.
