Offering Hope to the World by
What the World Needs Now is Hope
There is so much hopelessness in the world. We struggle to find hope in our jobs, relationships, sports, education, and recreation…but none of these seem to fully satisfy us. True and eternal Hope is not found in the world, but in God! God loves and cares for us all. He showed His great love by sending His Son Jesus Christ to die for us and rise again. We find Hope in an ever-growing relationship with our living Hope: Christ our Savior. He is the Hope that never ends and satisfies us to the full!
At Golden Valley Lutheran Church, we find great joy and value in our mission: “Offering HOPE to the World by Connecting People to Christ and to Each Other.” We further our mission by putting our values into action: Connect, Worship, Teach, Share, and Serve.

Our Values
CONNECT
We CONNECT as a family in Christ. We seek ever closer connections with one another through worship, fellowship, and service. Reflecting God’s grace, we lift each other up, forgive, and support each other in love as members of God’s family.

WORSHIP
We WORSHIP God joyfully. We celebrate God’s victory through Christ, by coming together with music to glorify God, experience His grace, and refresh our faith.

TEACH
SHARE
We TEACH God’s Word as the absolute foundation of our Church and our lives. Through sermons, Bible study, and activities to reach all members of our Church family, we constantly seek a fuller understanding of God’s Word, to build faith and to live as God’s people.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 10:17, Hebrews 11:6, Luke 6:47-48
We SHARE God’s love as a Great Commission Church (Matthew 28:18-20). We are sinners saved only by God’s grace through Jesus Christ. We actively bring this saving gospel of hope to those currently in our lives as well as those in our broader community and the world. As humble servants of Christ, we live out our faith by striving to model the fruits of the Spirit to a world hungry for community, love, and grace.

SERVE
We SERVE others unselfishly as instruments of God’s love. We seek to meet the needs of our members, our community, and our world as a critical part of our ministry to reach others for Christ. We freely offer God’s Church as a place of refuge, healing, and hope to those struggling in this difficult world.
