Worship Vocalists
These vocalists share their gifts by leading contemporary Christian music during worship. To enhance various services, other singers and instrumentalists are also added.
Sanctuary Choir
Our Sanctuary Choir is a mixture of men and women who have a love of singing, a desire to praise God, and a willingness to serve our church in this very special ministry. No audition is required and this choir is open to everyone over the age of 14. This special group sings at many of our services and also at a unique Christmas celebration service in December. The musical and spiritual fellowship of this ministry is enhanced by participation in exchanges with other church choirs and at special events. Occasional Choirs
Festival Choir
Do you enjoy singing God’s praises but can’t commit to a weekly choir? Then, one of our “occasional choirs” may be for you! These choir groups perform several times a year, and meet for 2 – 30 minute rehearsals before singing. The Joy Singers is our women’s group. This group sings a variety of music, including contemporary, traditional and some music in parts. The GVLC Men’s Choir especially enjoys the old gospel songs, but also performs some more contemporary and traditional music.
The Festival Choir is the Sanctuary Choir plus those who would like to sing for the Choir Christmas Service and Holy Week. Anyone interested can join for a few Wednesday rehearsals and sing with the choir at these special times.
